February Status Update

| February 11th, 2026

We’re exactly one month out from BSidesLjubljana 0x7EA and things are moving fast. Here’s where we stand.

CFP: Closed, Reviewing, Almost There

The Call for Papers officially closed yesterday — and what a response. We received around 60 submissions, which is incredible for a single-day community event. Thank you to everyone who took the time to submit. We’re deep in the review process right now. Some speakers have already received acceptance notifications. If you’re still waiting to hear back, please bear with us — we’re working through the remaining submissions and hope to have all decisions out by the end of this week.

Tickets: Yes, They Went That Fast

If you were watching on February 6, you already know — the first batch of tickets was gone in under 7 minutes. We knew they’d go fast, but that caught even us off guard.

Missed out? Your next chance is coming:

Batch 2: Friday, February 20 at 10:00 CET

Set your alarm. We’re not exaggerating when we say these go quickly. Check the Tickets page for details.

And as always — if you grabbed a ticket but realize you can’t make it, please return it. We have a waitlist and every returned ticket means someone else gets to attend.

CTF at BSidesLjubljana

We’re excited to announce that Team Viris (https://x.com/TeamViris) will be running a CTF at BSidesLjubljana 0x7EA again. More details coming soon — stay tuned.

Want a Free Ticket?

We might be dropping a short CTF challenge on our social media soon to win a free ticket as the prize. Keep your eyes on our channels:

You’ve been warned.

See You March 13

One month. That’s it. The schedule is coming together, the CTF is confirmed, and Ljubljana is ready.

Over and out – BSidesLjubljana Team

TL;DR

Tickets for BSidesLjubljana 0x7EA will be released in three batches:

  • First batch goes out – on Friday the 6h of February at 10am (CET)
  • Second batch goes out – on Friday the 20th of February at 10am (CET)
  • Third batch goes out – on Sunday the 1st of March at 7pm (CET)

Registration will be on **Eventbrite**. Yes, Eventbrite. We know what we said. Keep reading.

About That Eventbrite Thing…

At BSidesLjubljana 0x7E8, we said it would be our last event using Eventbrite for ticketing. We meant it. We spent last months researching alternatives, testing platforms, and trying to build something that would give us more control and better serve our community.

It didn’t work out.

Every alternative we evaluated either had deal-breaking limitations, required more resources than we could spare, or simply wasn’t ready in time for 0x7EA. We could have pushed forward with a half-baked solution, but that would have meant risking a poor experience for you — and that’s not something we’re willing to do.

So here we are, back on Eventbrite.

**To everyone we disappointed with this decision: we’re sorry.** We know some of you were looking forward to us moving away from it. We were too. But sometimes the right choice is the boring one that actually works.

What Hasn’t Changed

**BSidesLjubljana remains free.**

No ticket fees. If you want to attend, you just need to grab a ticket when they become available.

We’re also committed to maintaining the quality you’ve come to expect. Same great talks, same community atmosphere, same venue, same one-day format packed with content.

Ticket Batches

Due to venue capacity limits, we release tickets in batches. This isn’t artificial scarcity — it’s just math. The museum can only hold so many hackers.

Here’s the schedule:

  • First batch goes out – on Friday the 6h of February at 10am (CET)
  • Second batch goes out – on Friday the 20th of February at 10am (CET)
  • Third batch goes out – on Sunday the 1st of March at 7pm (CET)

If you grab a ticket and later realize you can’t attend, **please return it**. We always have a waitlist, and your unused ticket could be someone else’s opportunity to attend.

Looking Forward

We’re doing everything we can to make 0x7EA worth your time. The CFP is still open, the schedule is coming together, and March 13 is approaching fast.

Thank you for your patience, your understanding, and your continued support of this community. We’ll keep working on the ticketing situation for future events. For now, we hope to see you in Ljubljana.

We’ve heard from the community: you need more time. We’re listening.

Our Call for {Papers|Presentations|Workshops|Demos} deadline has been extended to February 10, 2026. This gives you over two more weeks to prepare and submit your talk for #BSidesLjubljana 0x7EA!
